The Garmin GPSMAP 1242xsv Plus Chartplotter has a 12-inch, 1280 x 800 pixel, touchscreen display with an internal 10Hz high sensitivity GPS receiver. Enjoy full polarized support with the GPSMAP Plus series, which allows users to view the bright display without glare even when wearing polarized sunglasses. Mount the GPSMAP 1242xsv with the included bail mount or flush mount the unit with the included flush mount kit. Two Garmin Marine Network ports allows for support with Garmin network devices including radar, sonar black boxes and SiriusXM Weather, while the 2 SD card slots accept additional Garmin charts or SD cards for data storage.
1 kW Traditional Sonar, ClearVu and SideVu Sonar Support
The 1242xsv features a built-in sounder supporting 1 kW Traditional Sonar and Garmin ClearVu and SideVu Scanning Sonars with the use of a compatible transducer (*Sold Separately). One 12-pin transducer port on the back of the 1242xsv allows for sonar connection. Select from a wide range of compatible transducers to achieve performance for your specific use.
Preloaded Coastal and Lake Charts
The Garmin GPSMAP Plus 1242xsv chartplotter is preloaded with Garmin BlueChart G3 and LakeVu G3 Charts. Garmin G3 charts combine Garmin and Navionics data to provide detailed information including Depth Range Shading, up to 1-foot contours providing an accurate depiction of the bottom structure and Auto Guidance Technology which suggests a path to follow and overlays it on your chart. Coverage includes both Coastal and Lake waters within the United States, including the Bahamas.
Compatible with Garmin’s Premier Mapping
Garmin BlueChart G3 Vision and or LakeVu G3 Ultra charts feature High Resolution Relief Shading (not offered in all areas), High Resolution Relief Shading, Aerial Photography and FishEye/MarinerEye Views. The Garmin LakeVu G3 Ultra charts also include Dynamic Lake Levels which adjusts your maps to the lake’s current water level to provide a better idea of Lake accessibility. A single J1939 port is specific to the Plus series and allows for connection to different kinds of engines, including Yamaha engines. A single HDMI Video Output is unique to this 12" GPSMAP Plus unit! Two network ports allows for connection to compatible Garmin radars, SiriusXM Receivers, Sonar Black Boxes and more. If you intend to add more than two network units, a Garmin GMS10 Network Port Expander (Sold Separately) will be required. NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 support makes integrating AIS Tranceivers or VHF radios a breeze! Integrated ANT Technology connects devices such as Garmin quatix Watches, gWind Wireless 2 Transducers and wireless remote controls.
